We have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join our Adobe Pass team based in Bucharest.
Adobe Pass is a well-established product suite targeting the TV Everywhere industry. We operate our products at scale, and with significant North American customers in our portfolio, we cover all major events in sports, business, lifestyle, and more.
We’re in search of an engineering manager to lead one of our Adobe Pass squads – a team of exceptional engineers working on a wide range of solutions from our extensive portfolio. This role offers significant autonomy, exposure to cutting-edge technologies, and a substantial opportunity for personal and professional growth within one of the top software companies.
What you’ll do
Be a great leader and teammate – we build outstanding products by working together
Facilitate a squad of highly effective web and backend engineers. Coach them. Provide technical mentorship. Unblock them. Celebrate them. Help them expand their impact each and every day
Advocate for engineering excellence and contribute to architecture and high-level structure of our applications
Rapidly form action plans to align workstreams across squads, ensuring squad needs are appropriately accounted for and eliminating communication gaps
Partner closely with engineers, product, and design to help shape, sequence, and lead the squad’s engineering work
Provide technical leadership to the engineers and be accountable for the technical decisions made on the team
Grow, educate, and retain a successful team with a high delivery cadence in an agile environment
Handle project scope and risks with data, analytics and creative problem solving
Help drive culture and process improvements across our engineering organization with guidance to the broader company
What you need to succeed
- B.S or M.S. degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years of people management experience
- People leadership skills with teams of 3 or more
- Experience with web technologies, frontend & backend stacks
- Ability to prioritize, negotiate & delegate
- Ability to understand business context and requirements, strong customer focus
- Passion for software development and knowledge of software development methodologies
- Able to empower, inspire, and grow team members
- Strong ambition and self-drive
- Outstanding communication skills, able to be credible and convincing in a simple phone conversation in English, able to deliver short but high-impact presentations and pitches
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
