The Opportunity:

We have a phenomenal opportunity for a Development Engineer to join our Media Analytics based in Bucharest.
What You’ll Do:
- You and your team will focus on building powerful tools for leading application features and the way they are delivered to customers.
- Work closely with other groups as well as product management to define and implement this platform as well as to integrate it with other services at Adobe.
- Evaluate the current architecture, resolve risks and opportunities, and drive mitigation and improvements.
- Use your outstanding technical skills to mentor junior members of the team.
- Research various technologies and define architectural improvements as well as build prototypes or core features.
- Drive adoption of modern technologies and contribute to continuous increase of technical knowledge across engineering teams.
- Work in an agile environment and deliver on commitments for both time and quality.
What You Need To Succeed:
- At least 4 years of practical experience developing products
- Knowledge of Java
- Experience in building and operating distributed and scalable web services (REST)
- Knowledge in both building but also operating a service: CI/CD deployments, monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus), Kubernetes-based deployments
- Knowledge of continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing, and release management
- Good understanding of OOP, design patterns, and development principles and practices
- Being adaptable to a multifaceted environment loves to experiment and prototype
- Exceptionally good problem-solving skills, ability to deep-dive to find the root of the problem
- Show initiative and have a self-managed approach
- Good English language knowledge, both written and spoken
- Agile / Scrum project management methodologies
Nice To Have
- Experience with Scala
- Experience with build management tools, preferably Jenkins and/or Argo.
- Experience with log aggregation tools such as Splunk, and Fluentbit.
- Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka Streams or Apache Flink
