Job Title: Part-Time Head of Finance

Location: Farringdon (2-3 days per week) / Remote

Reports to: CEO & CRO Salary: up to £50-60,000 plus options package (pro-rated)

We are looking for a part-time Financial Director (2-3 days per week) to provide financial oversight and hands-on support to our growing business. This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional seeking a flexible position in a dynamic, tech-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting and Reporting

o Manage all financial accounting and reporting functions of the company, including supporting on board and investor reporting.

o Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including invoicing, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

o Prepare key tax items including VAT, Corporation Tax, EID and R&D Tax applications.

2. Strategic Financial Support

o Assist the CFO in developing and implementing financial strategies to drive growth.

o Provide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making.

o Identify opportunities for improving profitability and operational efficiency.

3. Financial Planning & Management

o Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

o Manage cash flow and payments, ensuring the company meets its financial obligations.

o Work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure high standards are met across processes.

4. Compliance and Risk Management

o Ensure adherence to all accounting standards and financial regulations.

o Oversee the implementation of internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

o Liaise with external auditors and advisors as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.

• 5+ years of experience in finance roles, ideally with experience in SMEs or high-growth companies.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, compliance, and cash flow management.

• Proficiency in financial tools and systems, with strong Excel skills.

• Experience in tech, SaaS, or regulatory environments is a bonus. Skills and Attributes:

• Highly analytical with a keen eye for detail.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Effective communicator with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.

• Comfortable working independently and remotely while collaborating with a dispersed team
