The role

This is a challenging and varied role, which is primarily customer facing, and involves working in partnership with the Account Management and New Business teams, in addition to a variety of other internal teams, such as Product Management and Helpdesk. As a Pre-Sales Consultant at GBG, you will play a crucial role in our sales process by leveraging your expertise to drive the growth of our solutions and services. You will be at the forefront of our interactions with potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor and technical expert to help them make informed decisions about our products

What you will do

Technical Expertise:

Develop a deep understanding of GBG PLC’s suite of products and services.
Stay current with industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to maintain a high level of product knowledge.
Translate technical features into tangible business benefits for prospective clients.

Solution Presentations:

Collaborate with the sales team to create tailored presentations and demonstrations that showcase how GBG’s solutions can meet the specific needs of prospective clients.
Conduct engaging and informative product demonstrations, both in-person and virtually, to highlight key features and benefits.

Client Engagement:

Act as a consultant, offering expert advice and recommendations to address client needs effectively.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
Engage with potential clients to understand their unique challenges and requirements.
Proof of Concept (PoC):

Work closely with clients to design and execute proof of concept projects, demonstrating the value of GBG solutions in real-world scenarios.
Collect and analyse feedback from PoC engagements to continuously improve our offerings.

Sales Support:

Collaborate with the sales team to develop compelling proposals and RFP responses.
Provide technical expertise during the sales process, addressing client inquiries and objections.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:

Conduct training sessions for internal teams and clients to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of GBG products.
Share best practices and insights with colleagues to enhance the overall effectiveness of the Pre-Sales team.


Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and solution configurations.
Contribute to the development of sales collateral, case studies, and technical documentation.
Continuous Learning:

Stay up to date with industry certifications and training to enhance your technical and product knowledge


Proven track record of managing technical delivery from inception to completion.
Exceptional project management skills
Proficient in using common practices/platforms to manipulate/analyse data.
Familiarity with integrating web services and/or competency with common coding languages such as Java, .NET, PHP or Python
An independent worker, comfortable with prioritising and managing own workload, seeking out guidance and support when required.
A proven analyst, able to create and deliver actionable, valuable insight to the benefit of customers.
Takes ownership for the delivery of project work, leading by example and demonstrating best practice in terms of standards.
Awareness of the need for urgency, able to motivate team and prospects to think the same.
An excellent communicator, both orally and in writing, with the necessary confidence and gravitas to enthusiastically and persuasively present a case.
A flexible, intelligent approach with the ability to inspire others and get the best from them.
The ability to think and act quickly, particularly under pressure.
Flexibility with reference to working hours and open to travel in the UK and Internationally
Experience of regulated (AML/KYC/Gambling) markets advantageous
Experience of working in Identity Verification is advantageous
