The team

The vision for our team is to provide the “data fuel” into the engine that supports and delivers Identity Data Intelligence globally, at pace. We are critical to the success of the business by ensuring we have unique products and services in every market in which we operate. This is achieved by sourcing data to ensure we have the best mix, at the most competitive price on the best commercial terms. The Commercial Data Team will provide a challenging and rewarding environment, focused on delivering GBGs 5-year vision.

The role

You will be required to help manage and develop commercial relationships with a range of global data and product suppliers; identify and qualify opportunities in global markets; and develop the commercial link between product & sales. You will also have extensive interactions with numerous internal GBG departments with whom you will work closely.

What you will do

You will:

  • Develop, document, and communicate an on-going level of expertise of the markets and sectors that we are targeting, and identify potential data partners and data sources.
  • Using knowledge acquired throughout the market investigation phase, initiate new supplier engagement and lead negotiations until a deal is reached
  • Consolidate and manage global data contracts, and renegotiate them to suit the business needs
  • Work closely with colleagues in Compliance, Legal and Infosec to ensure data transparency before contracting with suppliers
  • Work closely with product, sales and senior managers to align our commercials
  • Be the key go-to person between GBG and suppliers that you manage, and support enquiries associated with the supplier and/or contracts
  • Any other duties as may be required, commensurate with the role

Requirements
Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Confidence and business awareness to persuasively present a case to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to comprehend complex commercial, legal and regulatory documents written in Legal prose, interpret such content and apply to our business and the industry
  • Good understanding of numbers and ability to translate it to commercial terms
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others at all levels,
  • Experience of managing third parties or clients globally
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage one’s own workload
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of management
    Flexibility with reference to working hours and travel requirements
    Language skills would be advantageous
