Quiet

Whether you’re an introvert who wants to find out more about themselves or an extrovert who wants to understand how the others like to live, or somewhere in between, this book offers a unique and comprehensive insight into a personality trait that belongs to around 40% of the population.

Cain explains the rise of the extrovert ideal in the modern world, highlighting the many ways that introverts are undervalued in todays society and provides a multitude of examples of how introverts such as Rosa Parks have used their perspectives to provide unique and meaningful contributions to society. As a highly introverted person myself, I found this book particularly helped me to look at my own strengths as an introvert and understand how I can utilise them in a world designed with extroverts in mind.
