The Opportunity

For our innovative Adobe Experience Manager enterprise solution driving a billion-dollar revenue, Adobe is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to join the AEM Sites team in Basel.

We’re seeking candidates to help us design, build and run high traffic, critical services that drive business for the world’s top brands. We are looking for people who are self-starters and who can get results and outcomes.
What you’ll Do

  •   Work in an agile team to build intuitive and fluid web experiences, specifically focusing on technologies around content delivery (GraphQL is a key part of it!)
  • Capture loosely defined requirements/concepts and expand them into complete solutions together with your team.
  • Review and provide feedback on features, technology, architecture, designs.
  • Commitment to test automation and Unified Engineering culture.
  • DevOps, you code it, you own it! Plan, code, build, test, release, deploy, operate, monitor.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as required

What you need to succeed

  • BS in Computer Science (or related field) and demonstrated ability.
  • Confirmed experience with Java and Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, React).
  • Experience coding serverless applications
  • Ability to break-down sophisticated problems into a set of generalizable sub-problems and develop clean abstractions to encapsulate and handle complexity.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HTTP, REST & GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (particularly Git / GitHub).
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Jenkins, Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Telemetry/Observability.
  • Understanding of concepts such as CDN, Web Vitals, Lighthouse score
  • Contributions to open source projects and working with the community is a plus.
