We have a fantastic opportunity for a Software Development Engineer (DevOps) to join our Analytics team based in Bucharest.
Adobe Pass is a well-established product suite targeting the TV Everywhere industry. We operate our products at scale and having significant North American customers in our portfolio, we cover all major events in sports, business, lifestyle and more.
This role complements our autonomous, dedicated team that drives and shapes the next products in Pass’ portfolio. You will have the opportunity to influence the products, the tech stack and the team itself.
What you’ll do
Our software engineers have the flexibility to work with various technologies and different products or components. Your main focus will be to contribute to software components and the underlying infrastructure of our critical applications, reaching millions of users every month.
Streamline our operations and infrastructure using 2024 best practices and platforms
Develop software components, for battle-tested products or greenfield projects
Try out new things, run PoCs that improve our products.
Transform requirements into architectural and feature specs.
Develop high-performance, reliable, testable and maintainable code.
Identify internal / external technologies and when / how to use them.
Grow with the support of your team, and help others on the team grow by providing thoughtful feedback and uplifting those around you.
Work well both independently and collaboratively.
Demonstrate features, propose and review technical solutions.
What you need to succeed
Computer Science degree and / or 5+ years of relevant work experience
Experience operating the services offered by major cloud services provider
Proven knowledge of either one of Java | Python | Javascript | Golang
Proven understanding of OOP, Functional Programming, software lifecycle, source control tools
Knowledge of using build tools and methodologies (Gradle, Maven, Jenkins)
Knowledge in both building and operating a service: CI/CD deployments, monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus), Kubernetes-based deployments, infrastructure as code and provisioning tools
Strong understanding of developing and running Software as a Service type of products
A sharp eye for security-related issues and performance bottlenecks
Ability to research and become proficient in new technologies
Passionate about computer science, developing software & internet applications
Good English language knowledge, both written and spoken
