Adobe has a substantial opportunity in markets ranging from enabling consumer creativity, to redefining how office work gets done, to fueling digital transformation for enterprises. These big stories need to be told through effective advertising and innovative media planning. Reporting to the Director of Performance Marketing, we are looking for a new Head of Advertising to lead a team who are responsible for developing outstanding media strategies that build a stage to showcase Adobe’s creative heritage, leadership, and innovation across B2C and B2B categories. This team works on any advertising that drives upper funnel metrics, not acquisition media.
What you’ll do
Lead the Advertising team in EMEA as they plan across various advertising campaigns spanning the mid-upper funnel, ensuring the team are designing excellent and creative advertising plans that not only meet KPIs but surprise and delight.
Be an inspirational team leader who encourages diversity and inclusion. Focus on development of individuals, helping them to realise their career aspirations and ensure a happy healthy team environment (assessed yearly with an anonymous survey).
Have detailed knowledge of advertising channels, from awareness driving TV to demand generating digital, and everything in between. Understand how channels work together to meet goals. Have sophisticated knowledge on measurement of full funnel campaigns and examples of how you have shown value to the business as a result.

Be the main point of contact for all upper funnel advertising conversations in EMEA, ensuring you are advising the business on what our advertising strategy should be. Help to define the correct metrics for advertising to meet business needs.
Develop and install detailed process and data management into all advertising campaigns. Make sure all data is shared with the appropriate teams in the accurate format, at the right time and cadence.
Be highly involved in the industry and always looking for high-impact opportunities that find audiences in unexpected ways and take advantage of relevant cultural moments. Do you have clear examples where you have been innovative with a brand budget in previous roles?
Collaborate and agree process with cross-functional partners within the Adobe organization such as Campaign marketing, Country teams, Adobe’s in-house creative studio, Corporate teams, Performance Media, Customer Insights & Research, and Data teams to drive strategic development and implementation of media plans.
Lead the EMEA media agency relationships and contracts, ensuring the agencies are happy and delivering to expectations for your team, we have outstanding talent on our account, and we are getting the best media planning for Adobe.
What you’ll need to succeed
Proven significant experience in developing breakthrough media strategies for global companies, either in-house or at an agency, preferably in media planning and execution roles.
Proven people leadership experience.
Be a phenomenal communicator who relies on data and research as well as cultural and industry insights to build credibility around your strategy. Can easily explain subject matter expertise to colleagues and has the ability to drive consensus across a matrix organisation.
Ability to balance strategic thought leadership skills with outstanding team and project management skills.
A well-informed opinion on the future of brand advertising, given digitisation of ATL channels like TV, OOH, Audio and the increasing privacy restrictions.
Experience handling large budgets and planning media campaigns across Europe, namely in the UK, Germany and France.
Happy in a fast paced, dynamic and changing environment! Be a self-starter who can work autonomously and take ownership of all aspects of their team.
