Adobe is looking for an experienced legal counsel to join its EMEA Employment Legal Team reporting to the Director of EMEA Employment Law to support the company’s growth in the region.
Adobe operates in 21 countries across EMEA and is growing rapidly. This role will principally be responsible for providing employment law support for our Employee Experience team and the business for our EMEA Central region, and will support Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania and Armenia.
A true EMEA role, the successful candidate will gain exposure to multi-jurisdictional challenges in a fast-paced tech environment.
What you will do:
Be a passionate, active and energetic member of Adobe’s Global Employment Legal Team;
Partner closely and collaboratively with Adobe’s Employee Experience organization and other teams across the legal department and business.
Provide pragmatic, risk-based employment law support on all HR aspects of business initiatives and operations, including: HR legal compliance; implementation of HR aspects of business initiatives across the region; complex employee relations matters and investigations; hiring and terminations; innovative diversity & inclusion initiatives; HR privacy and data protection issues; M&A and post-acquisition integrations; scaling initiatives; and a truly extraordinary range of “day-to-day” HR queries and support;
Actively collaborate with other members of the team on global projects and issues;
Manage and develop relationships with Outside Counsel across the region;
Manage employment litigation for the EMEA Central region;
What you need to succeed
A qualified lawyer in Germany with at least 5+ years of specialist employment law experience at a quality law firm and/or in-house employment counsel role at a multi-national company supporting EMEA;
Excellent judgment, a pragmatic and commercial approach to legal advice and someone who is comfortable advising on and who has a true understanding of risk;
Someone who can operate with relative autonomy on a day to day basis, and is comfortable stepping outside of their comfort zone when required;
Business level fluency in English and German;
Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational and interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach to work across multiple groups and functions; the ability to develop relationships and truly partner with other teams is key.
