We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Employment Legal Counsel to join our EMEA Employment Law Team based in Paris.

This position is reporting to the Senior Director, EMEA Employment Law and will support Adobe’s growth in the region.

Adobe operates in 22 countries across EMEA and is growing rapidly. This role will principally be responsible for providing employment legal support and advice for our EMEA Western region, which includes France, Italy, Spain, and Benelux countries amongst others.

A true EMEA role, the successful candidate will gain exposure to multi-jurisdictional challenges in a fast-paced tech environment.

What you’ll do:

Be a passionate, pro-active and enthusiastic member of Adobe’s Global Employment Legal Team.
Partner closely and collaboratively with colleagues across a wide variety of organisations.
Demonstrate leadership and innovative thinking to help drive multi-functional projects to completion.
Provide pragmatic, strategic employment law support on all HR aspects of business initiatives and operations to HR and the business. This will include advice relating to HR legal compliance, complex employee relations matters, disciplinary and compliance investigations, hiring and terminations, innovative D&I initiatives, Works Council consultations and processes, HR privacy and data protection issues, M&A and post-acquisition integrations, scaling initiatives, and a truly diverse range of “day-to-day” HR matters.
Lead and develop relationships with Outside Counsel across the region.
Support employment litigation.
 
What you’ll need to succeed:

A French qualified lawyer with approximately 10+ years of specialist employment law experience at a quality law firm and/or in-house employment counsel role at a multi-national company.
Deep subject-matter expertise and experience of supporting Works Council processes
Strong leadership attributes, with a consistent track-record of constructive partnership with colleagues and business leaders, and of leading cross-functional teams where required to do so.
Excellent judgment, a pragmatic and commercial approach to legal advice and someone who is confident taking risk-based decisions.
The ability to operate with relative autonomy on a day to day basis.
Able to constructively challenge senior leaders when needed.
Having effective prioritisation skills and able to handle a large volume of matters on a diverse range of topics.
Being comfortable outside of their comfort zone, and a willingness to jump into new challenges.
Business level fluency in English and French.
Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational and interpersonal skills. A collaborative approach to work across multiple groups and functions. the ability to develop relationships and truly partner with other teams is key.
3 days a week in our Paris office, with some travel required.
