The Team

Our Data Platform team is at the heart of Egress, shaping our data infrastructure, analytics, and machine learning capabilities. As part of our team you will help us transform to a platform that doesn’t just manage and serve data to our customers but is a catalyst for intelligence-driven decision-making and automation.

The Role
As a Data Engineer with us, you will:

Design, develop and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and ETL processes using Spark, ensuring high-quality data processing and integration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data requirements into actionable technical solutions.
Utilize Microsoft Azure and Databricks to create powerful data solutions, focusing on performance optimization.
Conduct data modelling, data profiling, and data quality assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
Perform data integration, data transformation, and data governance activities to support advanced analytics and reporting needs.
Implement and deploy machine learning models within the data pipelines to drive predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Ensure data security and compliance, adhering to the highest standards in database design and operations.
This role can be based out of either our London or our Sheffield office.

The Person
We’re looking for someone who is:

Experienced as a Data Engineer, demonstrating proficiency in Apache Spark and cloud-based technologies, especially Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
Skilled in programming, particularly Python, and familiar with data integration tools and ETL frameworks.
Knowledgeable in data modelling and data governance principles, with a keen eye for data quality.
Versatile in database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL, and committed to ensuring data security and privacy.
A problem-solver and a team player, with strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
