Our Prevent Application team are involved in developing lightning-fast microservices which form the back-end of some of our Core Products. We work with Big Data sets to provide risk assessments to users in real-time and leverage this using Machine Learning algorithms. About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role across both the architecture and development, turning our roadmap into reality for one of our data security services. With your help, we will:

Your knowledge, experience and skills should include:
Building software
Translating your solutions into code fluently
Ensures the system meets business needs today and plans for the future
Continually evaluates cloud technologies for potential strategic fit to enhance Egress products
Communicating design overviews to technical stakeholders
Instructing stakeholders on potential threats in order to gain support for strategic changes
Solving complex problems independently where possible
Working with Product Management to offer guidance on future development
Learning and teaching
Curiosity and a growth mindset
Leading best practices for design and development
Sharing your knowledge and mentoring colleagues
Contributing your perspective and valuing that of others
The Person
Experience with C#
Experience with Javascript
Experience with Microsoft’s Azure or AWS Platform
Understanding of Unit Testing Principles and Methodology
Comfortable in the terminal and with command line development tools
Experience in working with Linux containers, preferably with Kubernetes
Experience within a continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) environment
Experience with databases (e.g. NoSQL, PostgreSQL))
Strong in Object Oriented Programming, MVC, Design patterns and SOLID principles
Nice to have:
Experience with ASP.Net Core
Some exposure to Machine Learning techniques
Some experience with Node.js & Express
Experience with Terraform
Ability to build and improve a REST/JSON API client
Some experience or willingness to learn new languages (such as Python)
