About the team

Professional Services Team, SEA

We provide our solutions on a global scale. Southeast Asia (SEA) is central to the group’s growth plans and presents GBG with a significant opportunity to address both existing and new clients’ business objectives with a full solution showcase. Importantly, we consistently put the customer first and by doing so we focus on providing high quality customer service, this delivers improvements to the customer’s journey, which will generate enhanced profitability

The team is responsible for providing professional services to address business objectives in the areas of risk prevention and fraud detection. To offer state-of-the-art software solutions and provide comprehensive client delivery and consulting support using our expertise and flexible, client-focused approach

The Role

The role of a Software Engineer will be to contribute to the successful deployment of GBG products and consulting for high customer satisfaction with existing customers

The role will analyse the customer requirements and design solutions according to customer requirement gathered by our business analyst. A key part of the role will be in ensuring our solutions are delivered with high standards of quality and excellence that delight our customers

What you will do

Development

Responsible for the development, enhancement, testing, implementation and maintenance of the products and services
Constantly perform reviews of existing application software to ensure appropriate application controls and data integrity
Assist in designing the architecture of the components of an application
Build modules that amplify the value of our core solutions engine

Documentation

Work closely with internal team members to document technical requirements, unit testing documents, provide product training on solution functionality

Technical Support

Technical product support during different stages of the project

Requirements

Junior Software Engineers (early talents) with experience in software development in an Information Technology environment
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Database applications including performance tuning (Database design would be an advantage)
Front-End Programming Language
Angular JS
Node JS
TypeScript
HTML
CSS
Back End Programming Language
ASP.Net MVC Framework
VB.Net/C#
Microsoft Technologies and solutions including
Windows Server and its components (for example, IIS)
Microsoft SQL Server
Microsoft .NET Framework
Web/Windows Applications and Services
Knowledge in REST/SOAP API with JSON/XML
Knowledge in Java Spring Boot with Microservices is a plus
Ability to analyse and interpret business requirements
Actively liaise with project team and QA team to ensure smooth delivery of the development work assigned
Strong organizational and time management skills
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English is essential
