About the team:

Thousands of big brands and household names use our location capture and verification services as part of their digital commerce and data quality user journeys, performing millions of transactions per day.

The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Developer Relations Engineer with a passion for customer advocacy and building developer community to join our Growth Engineering team, where you will play a critical role in evolving Loqate’s developer ecosystem.  You will partner with Product, Marketing, and Partnership Managers in shaping our roadmap and strategy in this space.

Developers are critical to the success of Loqate – thousands of developers from tens of thousands of customers leverage Loqate’s APIs to onboard customers, reduce failed deliveries, and improve data quality.

What you will do:

Grow and connect community – represent our developer community within Loqate, and Loqate in our developer community
Support customer growth – Engage with our partners and the developer community to unblock opportunities and accelerate time-to-market
Publish rich and engaging content – drive adoption of Loqate’s capabilities via partners and developers
Improve time-to-value – Actively contribute to our customer-facing SDKs, third-party integrations, and developer documentation to enable developers to get started quickly, drive adoption, and integrate more deeply over time.
Love shipping code – our squads are empowered to use CI/CD best practices and tooling so that deploying to production is an everyday thing
Evangelise and inspire – build inspiring demos, tutorials, and sample apps that demonstrate the power of Loqate’s products

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

The core qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

Proven industry experience in a Software Engineering role
At least 3 years industry experience in a Developer Relations Engineer / Advocate / Evangelist role
A strong foundation in software engineering principles and full-stack development with commercial experience of at least two modern languages, for example JavaScript/Typescript, C#, PHP, Go, Ruby
An opinionated view on good developer experience with a proven history of designing and building developer SDKs, APIs and integrations with third-party APIs
Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to write clear and concise content tailored for the target audience
Curious about integrations, with the right mix of passion for technology and customer success
The ability to adapt and evolve in a fast moving environment; you should expect a mix of engineering, evangelism, communication and operations and be motivated by primarily being customer-centric
Outgoing and proactive in networking and building relationships with internal teams as well as partners, customers and industry experts
Keen interest in blogging, social, and attending meetups and conferences about product & technology
