Data Compliance

The vision for our team is “to provide the ‘know how’ to enable privacy and data compliance, supporting Identity Data Intelligence globally at pace”. As a fast-growing, global business, this team provides a challenging environment with days rarely the same. We’ve launched and continue to promote be/compliant which has 4 key principles to ensure all team members “think privacy” upfront, helping to embed data compliance into operations.

 

The Role

You will be responsible for completing Data Subject Rights requests that we receive (under The Data Protection Act 2018)/GDPR) along with a variety of other requests and enquiries from members of the public and our business customers. Your role is to help ensure that GBG is compliant with applicable legislation, its contractual obligations and delivers great service.

What you will do

Be a trusted advisor in relation to privacy and data compliance requests, responding to both external and internal requests or questions, ensuring quality and timeliness.
Continually review and enhance internal Data Subject Rights and queries processes to evidence privacy and data compliance.
Nurture high-quality relationships with colleagues and ensure that members of the public have a great experience with GBG.
Produce internal reports, MI, and ad-hoc requests to management to ensure that GBG is adhering to its regulatory requirements.
Create and maintain ongoing training and awareness to ensure team members are aware of what they need to do to be/compliant.

Requirements
What we’re looking for:

Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of The Data Protection Act 2018 & GDPR in relation to the Rights of Individuals.
Process-orientated approach, with the ability to execute accurately and consistently across multiple processes.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure, to strict deadlines.
Service-focused with a continual emphasis to provide excellent results.
Strong interpersonal skills with both external individuals and colleagues, with the ability to persuade and influence others, and experience of managing difficult conversations.
Questioning nature, allows you to uncover the full picture, which may then enable the correct process elements /responses to be followed with the right outcomes.
Demonstrable evidence you are a quick learner, who can quickly understand complex requirements.

Additionally…

This role is home based but with notice, you may be required to travel to our UK sites (which include London, Chester, and Worcester.) and international travel to our offices globally (which include the US, Australia, Turkey, and Malaysia).
