About the role:
Are you a deal expert that can help Sales teams drive market wins for complex, large opportunities? As a part of the Deal Desk team, you will be at the center of helping the company achieve its growth targets by acting as a trusted advisor to the Sales teams to get deals across the line. You will work with Sales, Sales Ops, Customer Success, Product, Legal and Finance to define deal success and align internal stakeholders on a commercial strategy that is a win-win for the customer, Samsara and our partners. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, analytical, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a strong communicator comfortable jointly problem solving commercial issues with Sales teams and customers.
This role is remote, but preferably with at least some ability to commute to the local office.

In this role, you will:
In close partnership with Sales, facilitate structuring and execution of large complex deals while optimizing for customer experience, revenue, profitability, and compliance
Evaluate deal financials, commercial terms and conditions, operational requirements and non-standard structuring requests
Influence pricing and discounting by evaluating deal structure, pricing and terms
Align internal stakeholders on an agreed-upon standard commercial strategy & offer to ensure deal success
Mitigate risk through standardized terms and controls, credit policies and application of revenue recognition requirements
Monitor the Deal Desk support request queue, consistently maintaining ticket SLAs and handling complex and/or non-standard requests
Coordinate the flow of information across multiple groups, such as Sales, Sales Ops, Finance, Product, and Operations to drive deal success and ensure a seamless customer experience
Work with the broader deal desk team to optimize deal economics through deal structuring
Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop, establish and execute standard processes, workflows, and policy improvements
Support quarterly Sales & Finance goals through deal execution
Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
Minimum requirements for this role:
4+ years of experience structuring deals either in Deal Desk, Finance, Sales Operations or Revenue Operations
Strong problem solving skills along with the ability to communicate confidently rationale for decisions across all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to support Sales in winning and contracting bundled SaaS deals
Success operating in a high-growth business and ability drive results independently
Experience analyzing deal economics (margin, cash flow)
Excellent presentation skills, must be comfortable presenting to internal & external audiences
Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively to drive results
Experience using Salesforce
Ideal candidate should have excellent reasoning skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, ability to multitask, and deliver within deadlines
An ideal candidate also has:
Fluency in German
