About The Role

Technology is changing and we advise some of the biggest organisations in the public and private sectors on how to maximise the opportunities from Technology enabled change. Following a recent review and restructure of our Technology and Engineering practice we are seeking a proven technology leader and innovator to support the next stage of our growth. This role will influence the overall direction of our technology and data practices across TPXimpact.

As our Chief Technology Innovation Officer you will stretch our customers’ thinking in order that they maximise the ROI on their technology investments. You will build on our vision for progression within technology with a specific focus on sustainable solutions. Our customers have different strategic needs and wants, you will be adaptable to help them meet their short, medium and long term goals.

You will be informed but also opinionated, and have the necessary C-Suite experience to confidently persuade senior leaders to invest, build, configure future-ready technology strategies and investment decisions. You will be the face of our technology advisory and delivery capabilities and confident to share our views at external events, through thought pieces and via media channels.

You will have a strong technical background and be capable of guiding the architecture of the IT innovations. As a team player you will work with our technologists and engineers to provide leading edge advice and create innovative solutions for our customers. You will champion the capability of our people and teams to deliver mission-critical, deep technical solutions across the enterprise, in support of the company’s growth ambitions.

You’ll play a leading role in developing and realising a continued growth strategy to increase our tech/engineering delivery and offer; including development and execution of go-to-market propositions; and working closely alongside the sales and bid team to deliver revenue growth ambitions.

You will take a lead role delivering innovative technical solutions to effect business change and accelerate value realisation. Working with wider technology leadership colleagues to develop our team and capabilities in line with market needs.

Responsibilities

Leading TPXimpact’s technology practice and ensuring that the company has a clear viewpoint in the market
External face for Technology related services from TPXimpact
Providing strategic technology consultancy within pre-sales activities and shaping complex client projects
Advising senior leads in Engineering and Advisory roles on emerging practice and market trends
Working with Client Services to develop TPXimpact’s position as a leading technology services vendor
Maximise the value of all TPXimpacts technology services regardless of divisional area
Support the achievement of company goals by leading on and providing input into our technology vision, strategy and goals
Ensure TPXimpact has the right balance of senior advisory capacity to meet the needs of our customers
Bridging the gap between strategic/business and technical teams to ensure requirements are effectively articulated
Effectively communicating our technology viewpoints to partners and investors
Stay up to date with new technologies, languages and frameworks
Management of senior technology advisors and engineering management
Support the recruitment of flexible contract staff and permanent hires by building and utilising personal industry networks
Other duties as required

 

Scenario Examples

Working as a critical friend to a senior technology leader in Government. Positively challenging the investment decisions their department is considering to replatform a critical service due to end-of-life concerns. Helping to ensure optimum decision for the client is reached.

Overseeing the creation of a new technology roadmap and identifying key implementation opportunities for TPXimpact. Working with Client Services to define innovative delivery propositions for the customer.

Presenting at external conferences about the latest work we are doing and how this is challenging the industry norms. Use the platform to build brand awareness and generate leads.

Sponsoring complex technology change programmes. Helping to overcome strategic challenges using data and informed arguments as to the pros/cons of different approaches.

Experience

Strategic thinker with proven strategic problem-solving skills
Results oriented individual who champions excellence
Strong understanding of technology trends and impact on customer needs
Business acumen to align technology-related decisions with customers results and objectives
Broad and deep enterprise engineering/architecture expertise with a technology and platform agnostic perspective
External profile and positive reputation within Technology community
Working understanding of the UK government technology standards and their implications
Strong emotional intelligence and able to build productive relationships with buyers
Well developed communication skills
